Surrey Based IT Firm Donates 4 Laptops To Care for Guildford
A big thank you to Surrey-based IT company FluidOne for generously donating four HP laptops to Care for Guildford. The laptops will be used by our telephone volunteers to access the Care for Guildford database, enabling them to book lifts for clients attending essential medical appointments and to allocate jobs to our amazing volunteer drivers.
Jesse Harfield, Group Managing Director, IT Services, FluidOne said: “We are happy to support Care for Guildford. It’s great that these laptops which we no longer need can be used for such a good cause.”.
Vanessa Green, Vice Chair, Care for Guildford, added: “Thank you so much, FluidOne. We are currently upgrading our IT and needed a way for our telephone volunteers to easily access our database while carrying out their shifts from home. Having four laptops donated to Care for Guildford makes a huge difference and will help us work more efficiently. We really appreciate this generous donation.”
The charity is still seeking additional support to ensure each of our 15 telephone volunteers are fully equipped. If you have a spare laptop running Windows 10 or 11 that you would be happy to donate, please contact administrator@careforguildford.onmicrosoft.com.
