Can you help?
Care for Guildford’s amazing team of volunteers provide over 3,000 lifts and 550 shopping jobs each year to our Guildford-based clients. Our clients are so appreciative of our help.
With demand for our service at an all-time high, we need more people, with their own cars, to become volunteer drivers, shoppers and telephone volunteers (speaking to clients and booking in drivers).
- Just an hour of two of your time every now and again will make a real difference
- Being a Care for Guildford volunteer is flexible and rewarding
- To be a volunteer driver, no regular commitment is needed
- Telephone volunteers need to allocate one day (9am-4pm) most months, and shoppers often needed to be available on a weekly basis.
- Expenses are reimbursed
How does it work?
- Only volunteer if the suggested day/time fits in with your schedule
- For volunteer drivers, our telephone volunteers will tell you about client requests by telephone or WhatsApp (or both) – you choose
- DBS and references required
