BBC Surrey Make A Difference Award

Congratulations to Zita Delaney, Care for Guildford’s longest serving volunteer and trustee, who was highly commended at the BBC Surrey and Sussex’s Make A Difference Awards. Zita was amongst five people selected from hundreds of applicants for the Volunteer category at the Make A Difference Awards.

Zita has made a huge difference to Care for Guildford over the last 38 years. She began volunteering in 1986 and became a Trustee 30 years ago. She has made an enormous contribution to the charity’s good governance and evolution of our operations and services.

Zita has dedicated tens of thousands of hours to Care for Guildford including driving clients to/from appointments, shopping for clients, organising training and events for volunteers, contributing to Trustee meetings. She is an inspiration to us all and truly deserves recognition for all she has done and continues to do.
